Please note date change to October 17:  Join wine host Tim Gaber of Pittsburgh Winery for a an evening of great wine and food. Tim makes his wines right in the Strip District, but with grapes imported from California and South America.  He makes some really distrinctive wnes.  We will be tasting:

Sauvignon Blanc 2016 - Suisun Valley California.  Crisp, clean and citrusy with hints of grapefruit, green apple and passion fruit notes. Good acid structure and minerality, bright, fresh and balanced.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 - Suisun Valley California.  Produced with premium winegrapes sourced from 2 separate Suisun Valley vineyards. Intense aromas of ripe blueberry and plum layered with baking spices and dark chocolate. Rich on the palate with concentrated dark fruit flavors surrounded by soft tannins. 

Zinfandel Blend 2013 - California.  Aromas of autumn at first, leafy, brambly blackberry  tobacco and raspberry with cinnamon and pepper notes. Hints of new sneaker rubber and old wood.  A blend of equal parts  Sonoma County & Lake County  Zinfandel, with 15% Suisun Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 

Chilean Cuvee 2015 - Curico Chile.  Rich blend of four distinctive wine grapes all sourced from family owned vineyards located 120 miles south of Santiago Chile. Deep ruby, dense, earthy and dry, the wine opens with cedar, cigar box and espresso aromatics, with some dark stone fruit undertones. Entry is silky smooth with cocoa and a sweet toasty oak impression in the front moving to an enveloping texture on the palate packed with flavors and a balanced mellow acidity. Finishes at length with a touch of caramel and dried black current.  This is a rare one - only 90 cases produced!  

Music will be provided by the multi-talented Jocie Ghaznavi!

As always, wines will be paired with small plates courtesy of Priory chefs Pete Phillipy and Mike Henney, with dessert by Priory Fine Pastries.  Menus is TBA.  Our Wine Parties are in the Priory Hotel's garden courtyard weather permitting.  Tickets are $60.  Please note that all tickets must now be purchased in advance.  This may be done by clicking here, or contact Francine Priestas, francine@thepriory.com or 412-224-6300.  Please note that wines may change due to availability.  Tickets which are cancelled will not be refunded; however, they may be used for another Priory wine party within the next twelve months following cancellation.
